Oh Bummer.....

We are having issues, major issues!!! I have managed to do something very naughty to our computer, it is currently being invaded....... Bring on the panic!

I invision pictures lost, bank accounts being taken over by ruthless computer fiends.... Not good, I need a drink! Of course all of this happens when my darling husband is on shift, why on earth would I need him home during this time of computer catastrophe??? Something likes this seems to always happen to me.

Case in point:

1. Back yard floods at 0200 in the morning, Jim is on shift...... I'm in the back yard in my jammies....crying.
2. Car breaks down 10 minutes before I have to leave for work, Jim is on shift.
3. Jax's millipede moves on, yep..... Jim is on shift.
4. I light the counter top on fire (it was a candle, not intentional!), Jim was on shift.
5. There is more, but at this point, it just becomes embarassing on my part.

None of this being Jim's fault, the Lord just see's fit to make me stronger or humble......

So I call Jim last night desparately trying to reach him, no answer at the station, no answer on his cell phone. Why, oh why!!! Well, he was in the process of taking a group of Boy Scouts on a tour of the station (you know, he was doing his job...working....). But I was panicking.... I needed him 5 minutes ago.

Long story short, Jim called my bro-in-law (Thank-you, we love you) for a little advice. Stay tuned, Operation, Save the Dell...... is under way. Until then, I will blog from from alternate sites.

Just an FYI, Y'all

So.... just for the record, my little sis is one year older today!!!!!

She is not a fan of having her picture taken, so out of love for her...... I will not post an old photo (be afraid sister, I have some really good ones!).

All in all, you are oh sooooo close to 30.....Soon you will join the old' folks club, like the rest of us!

Happy Birthday, Sweet Sister of Mine.... I love you much!

Here is me...Doubting Myself....

This last week was a challenge...... Do you have moments where you feel incapable? You feel (never mind you KNOW) that you are going to fail? Here I'am...faults and all...

This week was hard for me, I felt like a mommy who was not home enough. When your children have difficult moments, and you are not there...... Well, let's just say it kills my heart and ticks me off. I want to be that mom who is unfailing and consistently availible. This week I was at work....not where I needed to be. One knotch on the belt......

This week I was unfair to my husband.... He was on shift and I took my guilt out on him.......
Second knotch on the belt......

This week I focused on my selfishness and not on my God's grace and forgiveness.........
Third knotch on the belt........

Too many knotches....folks.....too many.....

This week, I rediscovered my priorities......I fell deeper in love with my husband.....understood that my God grant's peace and understanding..... and I was struck with the fact that my children need me more than ever....and I can not and will no longer waste a moment.....

This last week was a challenge...tomorrow a fresh start. Change is coming, because I believe that we are meant to live for something more.

Happy Halloween (or whatever it is.......)

So we don't "celebrate" Halloween at our house, technically.... However we are the fun-loving kind that do love to dress up, act a little goofy and prey upon our friendly neighborhood for massive quantities of candy. Yep...that's how we roll.....

This year we had a treat (no pun intended), our Aunt from Montana (really Jim's by marriage, mine purely by love) was at our home, gracing us with her presence and spoiling all of us rotten. Aunt Roberta got "roped" in to the Harvest parties and handing out candy to all the kids. We were so blessed by her love.......
                                                                   "The Loot"

As she would say "I'm a child of the 60's, Baby"

Bug begged me to be a "pretty witch" (y'all this just kill's me...she was pretty though), next year she wants to be Mary Poppins (way more up my alley).

"Dude, get your own tot's"  Watch out folks...Napoleon Dynomite is in the house!

The weather was amazing, usually every year, we freeze. Jim "fire's up" the four-wheelers, we pack a thermos of hot cocoa, bundle up in our winter coats and brave the weather for a little candy. This year, not so much! It was fantastic. The night was topped off with a cozy fire in the backyard fire-pit and the best company. Good times had by all!!!
