Family Photo Op
It has been far to long, since we have done family pictures. We have been meaning to do this forever, but never got around to it. However, the gal who did these, was amazing......and reasonable (which seems to never happen!). So enjoy, for those of you that want more of these, or different prints, let me know and I will send them your way!

July also meant goodbye......
July was a month of great fun but towards the end, we had a day of absolute heartbreak for our family. Sky our beloved Shepard; a sister, mother figure, but most importantly all of our friend, became very sick, and quite instantly was gone. She had a spleenic tumor that burst, causing a blood clot to her brain, and consequently was taken from our lives. To be honest with you, Jim and I never thought that it would be that hard to lose a pet, our hearts were broken, but even more difficult to watch was the breaking hearts' of our children, who had grown up with this dog, they loved so much. Even as I type this silly blog, I can barely see the words I write, because of the tears in my eyes. We loved her so much, she touched our hearts with her devotion, and forgiveness, when we gave her less then she deserved.
Here she is, in all of her glory...leaving a hole in our hearts......

Just Gotta Say.....
For the blabber mouth that I'am, I have kept this under wraps for a little while. But I would like to share with all of you.....Jim and I are blessed ( I know that you already "know" that, but let me explain).
Jim was elected (by his peer's/union brothers +sisters) to be the Vice President of the Union. This is a "Big Deal", folks. We are extremely humbled by the love and admiration shown by his fellow's firefighters, and excited for the the office that Jim now holds, knowing the hard work that is ahead of him.
And I, got the official acceptance into the Graduate Nursing Program at Idaho State University (yes, I'am a nurse, but not a "cool" enough one yet). Yet, another big deal. This means one more year of hard work, but bring it on. I hear the NICU and PICU (neonatal and pediatric intensive care units) calling my name.
Alot of hard work is in our future, but God has blessed us with an opportunity to serve, which we are grateful for. Please send a prayer both our way's, as we continue on our journey to serve....
