Graduation Day

Bug-a-Boo and her BFF's
That is Jax receiving his awards, and yes there is a 3rd grader bigger than him!

Two of Jax best buds

Mrs. Wright, the best Kindergarten teacher ever known, we love you!

Mr. Banning, thank you for such a great year!

Well, it is official, our youngest is a first-grader and our oldest is headed to fourth grade. I don't remember them growing up so fast, and to be truthful I want them to stay 5 and 9 forever.

Do you remember as a parent how you could not wait for their first giggle, the first time they held out their arms and walked to you, and the joy when they actually wiped their behinds for the first time without your help?

Each of these moments are huge milestones in our children's life. Yet, as I sat there watching "our baby" graduate from Kindergarten, singing the "Beaver Song", and being just about as cute as she could be, and our oldest receiving multiple academic and character awards (he made High Honor Roll three quarters in a row, smart boy); I can't help but wonder why so soon, when did these moments fly by?

I know that it is just 1st and 4th grade, not Senior Prom (I am gonna need Valium), High School Graduation, or something that requires a black suit and a white dress, but someday it will be, we are one year closer to that day!

So the tears were a flowin', go figure, right! For those of you that don't know me, I am not difficult to read, I am highly emotional 98% of the time (thanks Mom, love ya). I was so grateful to look around the room and see at least four other mommies crying just as hard as me!

So..... we salute our children!!! For a year well done, with many unforgettable memories that Daddy and I will cherish forever. It is ok to grow up, but humor us every once in a while, this is really hard on us. We love you, we are so proud of you both!
