Let me tell ya something..... the extent of my hockey knowledge is limited. I know that a bunch of "big boys" hit a puck (that closely resembles a McDonalds burger patty), I know that hockey fans are some of the most dedicated and vocal sports fanatics out there, and that in Canada it is a religion. That's bout' it!
But I do know that sitting there watching my kids faces, when all hell broke loose (slobber flung against the fiberglass, jerseys yanked off, broken hockey sticks), it was priceless. They both got this look of unintentional glee...... and then they were hooked! I'm hearing my kids yell...."Come on, get angry", "Are you gonna take that", "Serious Ref, let 'em fight".
Is there something wrong with me? Am I that much of a hilly-billy, that I encourage this behaviour? Well alright then, I give up and I give in.....I'm now officially a hockey fan! It is apparent that "the apple does not fall far from the tree".
